A força da religiosidade feminina no Israel Antigo: metáfora e (des)construção da realidade em Os 9,10-17

A linguagem peculiar do profeta Oseias utiliza diversas metáforas ligadas a cultos femininos e da fertilidade. Tal aspecto tem levado estudiosos, que operam principalmente por métodos históricos, a utilizarem oráculos do profeta para a reconstrução do culto da fertilidade, com especial atenção às prostitutas cultuais, procedimento tomado com desconfiança na atualidade. O artigo, procurando rever tal caracterização e consenso, repensa a religiosidade popular feminina no contexto literário de Os 9,10-17, tendo como base teorias da metáfora cognitiva. Percebe-se, com isso, a importância generalizada da religião feminina no contexto do Israel Norte, que funciona como fonte da metáfora, sendo a condição sociopolítica do Israel Norte o alvo.
