In the 8th century BC and in the 6th century BC, three great prophets lived in Jerusalem: Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. To draw a line that reaches these three figures, the metaphor of life, death and resurrection will be used. Isaiah, with his oracles that the Lord will protect Jerusalem, represent the moment of life; Jeremiah, who witnessed the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonian army, represent the moment of death; Ezekiel, with his announcements of the rebuilding of Jerusalem, the moment of resurrection. The objective is to show how they actively participated in the life of the city, exercising their prophetic activity before the kings and all the people. The methodology is essentially that of bibliographic research. The starting point was the questions left by an article by Gonçalves (1995), especially this one: where the motivation for the political action of the prophets comes from? In the end, it is concluded that this motivation comes from the experience of God that they have in their lives, which allows them to see the context in which they live with eyes of seers of God
