The world has been experiencing increasingly worrying and traumatic health crises throughout history. Medicine has sought to develop scientific protocols to deal with these crises at all levels: local, regional, national and worldwide. With the advent of the phenomenon of globalization, the concern becomes even greater, as humanity is increasingly threatened in its existence by numerous potentially deadly viruses. In order to face this “new normal”, there is an urgent need to take care of personal health and of the people with whom we live. Knowing how to take care of oneself and others is an ethical imperative that cultivated with love, will be a way to preserve the valuable gift of life. Within this context, the present study aims to search the Jesus of the Gospel according to Mark, for some Christian inspirations to strengthen this care for sick people, close to us, or to whom we approach out of compassion and solidarity.
