A new teaching that sets free: Mk 1,21-28

Abstract

In this article the passage from Mk 1:21-28, will be analyzed in the context of his gospel, taking also in consideration the context in which this gospel was written, which involves considerations about the Christological tradition already circulating in the communities and about its roots in the Old Testament. We can see that Mark’s perspective in writing his gospel is to rescue Jesus in his life, in his acts and words, which was missing in the Christological tradition. Mark therefore aims to highlight the event of the Incarnation as the fundamental event in God’s design of communicating the fullness of life for all.

José Raimundo Oliva, Centre of Biblical Studies of Pernambuco, Brazil

Degree in Theology from the Dominican School of Theology (São Paulo). She has a degree in Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology from the Catholic University of Pernambuco. Training in Biblical Research by the CEBI Extension Course. Asesor del CEBI (Centre of Biblical Studies) of Pernambuco.
