To highlight the gratuity of God's merciful action towards humanity, Paul in Rom 1,18-32 emphasizes that “all have sinned” and therefore all are deserving “of the wrath of God”. Both pagans and Jews. For pagans, the denial of God manifests itself in the main characteristic, which is idolatry, causing consequences such as inappropriate sexual relations and serious addictions. However, this attitude of the pagans is not alien to the forgetfulness of God and the members of the community, the latter being the ones who often judge and condemn them. For everyone, regardless of whether they are Jews or Pagans, God justifies them by faith in Christ.References
