Abstract

In the universe of evil’s manifestations, whether through imperial power, official religion, or the dominant segments of society, Jesus is in confrontation with evil spirits. But in the circles closer to Jesus, those of his relatives and his disciples, there are also conflicts caused by evil influences. It is the conflict with his disciples as to the true course he should take to fulfill his mission, in comparison with the various interests and understandings of the group of twelve, which this article deals with. Who is Jesus to his disciples and what is the meaning of his mission?
